Armenian parliamentarians to discuss country's possible European course

The Armenian parliament has planned to discuss the potential holding of a referendum on joining the EU in the country.

According to Radio Azatutyun, an announcement appeared on the website of the Armenian parliament that hearings on the topic of “Proposal to hold a referendum on Armenia's application for EU membership” are scheduled for the morning of June 21.

The initiative for such a discussion was put forward by the “Platform of Democratic Forces of Armenia”, which includes several political forces. Earlier, these parties called on Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan to organize such a referendum in the near future.
