The NKR army shot down five planes, as well as three Azerbaijani helicopters, within the framework of delivering pinpoint strikes. The relevant information was provided by Artsrun Hovhannisyan, representing the Ministry of Defense of Armenia.
An employee of the department published such a message on his personal page on Facebook. He indicated that the announced situation is observed as of 16:00 on Friday, October 2. It is not specified which planes and helicopters were shot down, and whether it was accompanied by human casualties.
Disputes over the ownership of Nagorno-Karabakh between Baku and Yerevan have been going on since 1988. The conflict escalated on September 27, when martial law was declared in both countries and mobilization began.
