According to information from a source in the Moscow Department of Health, the disease is not related to the coronavirus and its consequences. At the moment, the preacher has already been transferred to the ward. The source notes that doctors are still “cautious” in predicting his state of health.
As a result of deteriorating health in August, Archpriest Dmitry Smirnov resigned as chairman of the patriarchal commission on family issues, protection of motherhood and childhood. Recently, it was he who was its head. In 2019, the preacher was hospitalized at the Sklifosovsky Research Institute of Emergency Medicine and placed in intensive care.
