As reported by the “Super Express” portal, Archbishop Marek Jędraszewski decided to speak out on the subject of abortion once again. This time he raised the subject during the ceremonial Three Kings procession that passed through the streets of Krakow. He called abortion a “criminal practice”. His words outraged some people.

Abp Jędraszewski spoke on the subject of abortion

“You can kill children by taking their lives, especially through the criminal practice of abortion,” said a Krakow priest during a homily delivered on the Feast of the Three Kings. The pretext for raising this issue was the Massacre of the Innocents described in the Bible. The priest recalled the order issued by Herod, who ordered the killing of boys who were under 2 years old.

Archbishop Jędraszewski also spoke of “forces” that are trying to introduce abortion on demand in our country, which would take place “even a few days before the birth of the child.”

Abp. Jędraszewski also referred to changes in the number of religion lessons. Not only did he state that this is an attempt to deprive children of the “truth about God”, but also an attempt to “deprave and demoralize” them, which is being introduced “under the guise of teaching about health”.

Krakowski procession of the Three Kings

Although in the context of the Krakow procession of the Three Kings there is a lot of talk about the controversial words of Archbishop Jędraszewski, the event was accompanied by a number of noteworthy positive initiatives.

As noted by “Super Express”, the Foundation for the Aid of St. Padre Pio collected money for housing assistance for people in the homeless crisis. Last year, the same organization managed to collect PLN 80,000.

The Procession of the Three Kings walked through the streets of Krakow for the 15th time. The procession, divided into three routes, met at the Main Square.
