Apple Vision Pro glasses will receive a powerful M5 chip and AI support

Apple Vision Pro glasses have a powerful M5 chip and support for artificial intelligence. Apple has begun development of a mixed reality headset that will support AI. Insider Ming-Chi Ko shared his intentions on his Medium blog.

According to his information, Apple has seriously started working on the second generation of the headset. It is planned that the augmented reality glasses will be equipped with a powerful M5 chip, which will significantly increase their computing capabilities.

In addition, the new version of Vision Pro will receive support for the Apple Intelligence neural network. The M5 chip is said to enable faster image processing and parallel AI tasks. "Combining Apple Intelligence with Vision Pro will bring an innovative user experience", — the specialist notes.

Current Vision Pro glasses do not have AI support — at least Apple has not officially announced such functionality. According to Ming-Chi Ko, the ability to work with a neural network will be a signature feature of the device. He also assumes that the cost of the new version of the headset will remain unchanged – 3499 dollars. At the beginning of September, The Elec sources reported that they were working on a more affordable version of the Vision Pro using budget OLED screens based on glass.
