In honor of the 15th anniversary of the iPhone, Apple decided to add the very first ever wallpaper to iOS. A message about this appeared on the website of The Verge. The screensaver features two clownfish.
First to funny "easter eggs" developer Jack Roberts took notice on Twitter: he discovered the iconic fish wallpaper in iOS 16 Beta 3 settings. The developer's tweet attracted a lot of attention after it was reposted by well-known insider and Bloomberg reporter Mark Gurman.
“Looks like some users found a new clownfish screensaver in iOS 16 beta 3. This is the wallpaper Steve Jobs used when he unveiled the original iPhone in 2007”,– wrote the journalist.
The iconic image of this image lies in the fact that after the presentation of the iPhone for 15 years, it did not appear in one of apple's smartphones by by default. Because of this, The Verge suggested that fish wallpapers may not make it to the release version of iOS 16 this time.
