Apple plans to release a cheaper version of the Vision headset by 2025

Apple is focusing on a cheaper version of the Vision headset instead of a new high-end model in an attempt to lower costs and attract more consumers.

Instead of producing an improved version of the headset, the company is probably trying to reduce the cost of components for the first model and is working on a cheaper Vision headset, which should be on the market by the end of 2025.< /p>

The first Vision Pro was released earlier this year, but despite its high technological performance, it has certain disadvantages common to many other VR headsets, in particular, it is quite heavy. The price, which starts at $3,499, is also among the reasons for user dissatisfaction.

The cheaper version of the Vision headset, codenamed N109, according to The Information, will retain the high-resolution displays, but will be at least a third lighter. Apple plans to set the price for the new headset in the range of $1,500 to $2,500, which will match the cost of high-end iPhone models. However, the company faces difficulties in reducing costs without significantly reducing functionality, so a cheaper headset may not appear until 2025.

Apple is still relying on the Vision Pro and plans to start the international release of this headset at the end of June , and add new features with the visionOS 2 update this fall.
