Apple launches service plan for iPhone 14 Plus smartphones due to rear camera issues

Yesterday, Apple announced a special service plan to address the issues with the rear camera on select iPhone 14 Plus models. This initiative is aimed at fixing faults that may occur in a small number of devices made in a certain period.

What else is known

Some iPhone 14 Plus models released between April 10, 2023 and April 28, 2024 may experience an issue with the rear camera preview. This means that the user may not be able to see the image on the camera screen, making it difficult to use the device's photographic functions. To address this issue, Apple has launched a global service program that allows owners of affected devices to receive free repairs. The service plan is valid for three years from the date of first retail sale of the device, but does not extend the standard warranty of the iPhone 14 Plus.

200% Deposit Bonus up to €3,000 180% First Deposit Bonus up to $20,000

Users can check if their device is eligible for this plan by using the serial number query tool on Apple's official website. If the device meets the criteria, Apple or an Apple Authorized Service Provider will provide free repair services. Before repairing, it is necessary to ensure that there is no other damage to the device that could affect the repair. For example, if the back glass of the device is cracked, this issue must be resolved before the rear camera repair can be started. In some cases, additional costs may be required to repair this damage.

If a user has already paid for the rear camera repair on their iPhone 14 Plus and believes that this issue is covered by the service plan, they can contact Apple to inquire about the possibility of a refund. This initiative demonstrates Apple's commitment to quality assurance and customer satisfaction by ensuring that device issues are resolved.
