Apple is preparing to release a smart doorbell that will become part of its smart home ecosystem. to unlock the screen.
Like other devices from the company, the new doorbell will be equipped with a Secure Enclave chip, which ensures secure storage and processing of Face ID data. This solution guarantees a high level of information security, which is especially important for systems related to home access.
It is reported that the device can work with existing HomeKit smart locks or become part of a complete system developed by Apple together with a single supplier.
The new doorbell will be equipped with Apple's proprietary Wi-Fi/Bluetooth chip codenamed “Proxima”.
The launch of the smart doorbell is scheduled for the end of 2025.
In addition to the bell, the company is developing new products for the smart home. According to rumors, Apple will introduce smart cameras, TVs and displays in the future.
