~ ~ < P > The function will be part of the AirPods software update and will be integrated into iOS 19, which will be released this year. This update can greatly expand the capabilities of the headphones by bringing them to competitors such as Google Pixel Buds that already have similar features.

< P > Last year Apple has stated that its AirPods Pro 2 can be used as a personalized hearing aid by updating the software. In September 2024, the FDA approved the use of Airpods as hearing aids in the United States, and in January 2025 the corresponding changes to permission were made in the legislation.
