Apple has released the third beta of iOS 18.3: what's interesting in the new version of the operating system

Apple's new iOS beta update brings a few interesting changes to the system aimed at improving functionality and usability. Here are more details about the update:

Notifications Summary

The «News & Entertainment» summary category is temporarily down for changes. This may be in preparation for a feature improvement or replacement. To configure other summary settings, users need to go to «Settings» and make the appropriate changes to your settings. Apple continues to work to make notification management as personalized and useful as possible.

Camera Controls

The Focus and Exposure Lock feature has received a more understandable name. The switch, which was previously called AE/AF Lock, has now been renamed to «Focus and Exposure Lock». This approach will help users who are not familiar with photographic terminology better understand what this feature is for. You can find it in the «Camera Control» settings on iPhone 16 series smartphones. This feature allows you to fix the camera settings by holding down the corresponding button, which will be useful for obtaining a stable shooting result.

Messages

The «Messages» application has also received an update. Now, by tapping the «+» icon, users will have quick access to create their own Genmoji. This greatly simplifies the process of creating personalized emojis, adding more emotion and personality to communication.

Working with PDF

Editing PDF files has become more transparent. If a user crops a PDF file using the screenshot interface, the system now warns that the cropped content is not removed from the original document. The message states that: «Content outside the cropped area will not be visible in most PDF viewers, but can be made visible in some applications». This is an important point for those working with sensitive documents, as the cropped content may still be accessible.

Apple continues to make small but important changes aimed at improving the usability of its devices. New features and improvements confirm the company's commitment to providing an intuitive and functional experience for every user.
