Apple has released the new operating system iOS 18.3: what will change

Apple has begun rolling out the new version of iOS 18.3. The update includes a number of new features, reports MacRumors.

The iOS 18.3 update has already passed beta testing, which has been ongoing since mid-December 2024, and is ready for users to install.

What new features does iOS 18.3 contain

Apple Intelligence for Messages

The Apple Intelligence feature for summarizing news apps will be temporarily unavailable in Messages. This is due to the incorrect content of some news articles.

In iOS 18.3, notifications included in the summary will be italicized, which will allow them to be visually distinguished from regular notifications.

In addition, Apple promises to improve the feature in future iOS.

Visual Intelligence

iPhones that have a Camera Control button can activate the Visual Intelligence feature. The new feature will allow you to collect information about objects or places around the user.

Among the main features — you can find out the rating of a restaurant or its opening hours, for this you just need to hold down the Camera Control button.

In addition, you can add an event from an advertising poster or flyer to your calendar.

The new feature is only available to users of 16 iPhone models.

Black Unity

For the past four years, Apple has launched Black Unity campaigns, which included an Apple Watch strap, a watch face, and an iPhone wallpaper.

In the new tvOS 18.3 for Apple TV, a link has appeared, which is called Unity25.

It is currently unknown what Apple plans for Black Unity in 2025. It is likely that this will become known next week.
