Apple Releases Its First Public Image Generated by Artificial Intelligence

Apple released its first public image created by artificial intelligence Image Playground, shortly after the presentation of the new iPhone 16 line of smartphones with AI technology.

In the created illustration Bailey the dog. Its owner is Craig Federighi, vice president of software development at Apple. He created the look for his wife in honor of Bailey's recent birthday. Wired writes about it.

Apple's upcoming iOS 18 is loaded with tons of AI-based features. A new mobile OS can transcribe your text messages, summarize emails and identify objects in photos. But one of the most interesting features is the Image Playground, which generates illustrations based on a text prompt.

Bailey Images is the first ever example created by Image Playground, which Apple showed outside of pre-recorded keynotes and marketing materials.

The first features of the Apple Intelligence package will be available exclusively to English-speaking users in the United States. Apple will eventually roll out Apple Intelligence to more languages. In December, the company will add support for English language dialects in Australia, Canada, New Zealand, South Africa and Great Britain.
