From this November 25 begins the agenda of events for the 488 years of foundation of Quito and for the < b>200 years of the Battle of Pichincha. The capital of EcuadorIn addition, it will have a day off on December 5, according to the Holidays Law, due to these festivities. The mandatory rest day is valid only for residents of Quito.
The foundation of Quito is commemorated every December 6, for this reason, the Municipality has planned more than a hundred activities that include parades, music festivals, typical food and even a high-level sporting event.
This Friday, < b>November 25, at 9:00 a.m. the Archbishop of Quito will preside at a solemn mass in the Church of La Merced, In the capital historic center. At 7:00 p.m., the Fiestas Proclamation will be held in the Plaza de San Francisco. This event marks the beginning of the festivities.

On November 26, at 10:00 a.m., it will take place on Avenida de los Shyris, in the north center of the city, the Parade of the Confraternity in which a diversity of actors will participate with dances, music and choreography. The same event will also take place on Avenida Teniente Hugo Ortiz, in the south of Quito, on November 27 at 10:00 a.m..
On November 26 and 27, in Parque Bicentenario, to the north of the city, a Burger Shop gastronomic festival will be held, to find out which is the best hamburger in Quito. The event will cost USD 4 for attendees over 12 years of age and will feature interventions by local music bands. In addition, the Colombian chef Jorge Rausch will act as a jury.
