Antoni Macierewicz was detained by the police. New findings have emerged.
According to the “Super Express” portal, Law and Justice MP Antoni Macierewicz was detained by the police. The politician was driving a car, although he lost his driving license a few weeks ago due to exceeding the permitted limit of penalty points. Macierewicz on Telewizja Republika claimed that his arrest was the result of “defending the monument of President Lech Kaczyński”.

Antoni Macierewicz was detained by the police at Piłsudski Square. The politician was behind the wheel of his car, although he had lost his driving license a few weeks ago due to exceeding the permitted limit of penalty points. However, he himself maintains that the reason for the police intervention was different.
“This is the result of the fact that we defended the monument to President Kaczyński and those murdered by the Russians. This is the effect of this action. This is a scandal, the police defended the traitors of Poland, who popularized the attack on the late Lech Kaczyński” – Antoni Macierewicz argued on TV Republika.
Macierewicz also stated that the whole situation was a “provocation on the part of Donald Tusk”. In his opinion, blocking the MP was an “illegal”, “unlikely” action and, as he stated, also a “crime”.

According to the report by the “Onet” portal, the car driven by Antoni Macierewicz, was surrounded by two police cars and four police officers. During the check, the police wanted to test the politician with a breathalyzer. According to the officers, the politician did not present his parliamentary ID.
As established by Eski's journalist, Antoni Macierewicz lost his driving license on December 10. After Macierewicz's November rally, the politician was not stripped of his document. The officers were supposed to seize the electronic driving license, but the politician refused to sign for the seizure of the license, claiming immunity.
Eski's journalist indicates that the politician also refused to undergo a sobriety test. He was also supposed to receive a certificate that allows him to drive for 7 days.
