U.S. Secretary of State Anthony Blinken issued a statement on International Day of Remembrance for Victims of Acts of Religious or Belief Violence.

“We remind you that countless people have been killed, injured, imprisoned, threatened and persecuted because of their beliefs. We honor the sacrifice and the price paid by too many to follow their conscience or advocate for others to do the same, and we support those who are persecuted and recognize our shared humanity and collective commitment to the right to freedom of religion or belief.” Anthony Blinken in his statement.

“Any failure to ensure the right to freedom of religion or belief for one person endangers the exercise of this right for all,” the Secretary of State emphasized.
