Laurent Dubreuil collected a second medal in two days by finishing third in the 500m event at the Long Track World Cup in Heerenveen on Sunday in the Netherlands.
Dubreuil covered the distance in 34.594 s. Only local favorites Ronald Mulder (34.555) and Hein Otterspeer (34.590) edged the representative of the Maple Leaf, who is on a third podium in four attempts at this distance.
Quebecer Alex Boisvert-Lacroix (34.954) for his part finished this competition in 14th place. Among women, Quebecer Béatrice Lamarche (39.582) had to settle for 24th position in the 500m.
Valérie Maltais, for her part, took part in the women’s 3000m event and took the 13th step.
