Mexico has become the most dangerous country for media workers outside of war zones
A journalist who ran a local news program was shot dead in southern Mexico. He became the 15th media worker to be killed in the country since the start of the year.
Prosecutors in the southern state of Guerrero said that Fredid Roman was shot to death in the state capital of Chilpancingo.
Roman's Guerrero Realities program was mainly devoted to the political life of the state. He also wrote a column.
2022 was one of the deadliest years for journalists in Mexico, now considered the most dangerous country for media workers outside of war zones.
