Analysts believe the future of Xbox looks promising

Xbox still has a chance for a bright future, even despite the company's difficult past few years.

At least that's what Circana analyst Matt Piscatella thinks. In an interview with Games Radar, he said that there are a lot of Xbox projects on the PlayStation game sales chart. The analyst believes that Microsoft needs to continue to increase its presence on other platforms, this is their key to success: “They are looking to the future, and one of the key initiatives they have talked about is expanding the reach of the Xbox brand far beyond the Xbox console, and they are actively working on that now.”

One manifestation of this approach is the expert's change in strategy regarding Xbox Game Pass. Previously, Microsoft invested all its strength and money in the service. Although this worked very well for the brand, it did not fit well with the model described above. Now the company has found a more balanced approach, in which the subscription helps to increase sales on other platforms as well.

Piscattela also noted that despite the decline in console sales, which Xbox itself has acknowledged, the company is doing well financially, and the future of the console looks promising:

“If you look at their financial results, it becomes clear that things are doing quite well, even though their console sales are lagging behind. Looking at it from that perspective, the future looks quite bright, although, of course, the last few years have been difficult.”
