After appearing on the support page, the Samsung Galaxy S24 FE has been the subject of extensive leaks revealing its official design and specifications.
The design of the phone is nothing new, it closely resembles other phones in the Galaxy S24 series. However, Samsung equips this generation of FE smartphone with a larger display compared to its predecessor.
According to the leak, the Galaxy S24 FE will sport a 6.7-inch display, compared to the Galaxy S23 FE's 6.4-inch screen. Brightness will also increase from 1450 nits to 1900 nits, while the refresh rate will remain at 120Hz.
With a larger display, it's natural that the phone's dimensions change. However, Samsung hasn't made significant improvements to the battery, even though the S24 FE has gotten bigger. It will have a 4,565 mAh battery, which is only slightly more than the 4,500 mAh of its predecessor.
Battery life is rated at 29 hours of video playback and 78 hours of audio. However, the endurance of the device will ultimately be determined by actual usage.
Interestingly, the leak also reveals that the phone will be powered by the Exynos 2400e chipset, a variant of the flagship chip. As a 2024 device, it will naturally have artificial intelligence features. The S24 FE is likely to offer features such as Portrait Studio, Circle to Search and Generative Edit.
The camera consists of the usual combination of a 50-megapixel main sensor, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens and an 8-megapixel telephoto lens. lens with 3x optical zoom. While Samsung has been showing improvements in image processing of late, the S24 FE's photographic capabilities will be the deciding factor in determining its overall price proposition.
There is no information on the price of the Galaxy S24 FE yet. The S23 FE costs $599, so a price increase for the S24 FE is likely given its larger display and new chipset.
