An “expert” from the social network TikTok will be tried in the Kharkiv region: Case details

Kharkov Region will try an Azerbaijani who justified the actions of the Russian Federation and called for the overthrow of the constitutional order in Ukraine.

This was reported by the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor's Office.

According to the prosecutor's office, the accused has a permanent residence permit in Ukraine and lives in the city of Zmiiv, Chuguiv district.

Since March 2023, the man decided to distribute pseudo-expert videos in which he broadcast anti-Ukrainian theses and statements of Kremlin propaganda. The “blogger” chose the TikTok platform to distribute the materials.

In the video about the “causes of war”, the man broadcasted pro-Russian narratives, and also called on Ukrainians to unite and stand against the current president. The man spoke about the threat from NATO, due to which the Russian president began the so-called “own”, oppression of Russian-speaking people and justified the actions of the military of the aggressor state.

The TikToker is awaiting trial in custody. The man will be tried in the Ordzhonikidzevskiy District Court of Kharkiv. The accused faces up to eight years in prison with confiscation of property.
