Halina Lercher died on December 13. This dramatic information was shared via Facebook by the Jewish Theater, where she performed.

“A moment ago, we received very sad news. Halina Maja Lercher, an actress and our friend who left her mark on the history of the Jewish Theatre, has died. It's sad without you…” – we read in a moving post posted on social media.

As the newspaper recalls, Halina Lercher was born on July 15, 1951. Her father, Herman Hercher, was an actor. He performed both on the stage and in front of cameras. After the war, he was associated with the Jewish Theatre in Łódź and the Warsaw. He also passed on his love of acting to his daughter, who decided to follow in his footsteps.

Theatre was Halina Lercher's love

At the age of 20, Halina Lercher joined the Jewish Theatre in Warsaw, where she performed for almost a decade. She could also be seen on the silver screen, although when she did appear, it was mainly in episodic roles.

Her artistic achievements include appearances in such productions as: “Madame Bovary is Me”, “The Dybbuk”, “Stars on the Roof” and “Comedians”. In 1980, she got a role in one of the episodes of the cult series “Home”, which turned out to be the last one she played on national television.
