American developers have unveiled the B-21 Raider strategic bomber, equipped with nuclear missiles

The B-21 Raider bomber, developed by Northrop Grumman, will become the basis for the modernization of US strategic forces. This new aircraft embodies the most advanced stealth technologies – this will significantly strengthen the defense potential against the backdrop of growing threats from China, which is actively developing its own fleet of low-visibility aircraft, writes Army Recognition.

The B-21 Raider is distinguished by its ability to carry out both strategic strikes and long-term combat missions. The aircraft is built with new challenges in mind — from the ability to integrate with autonomous systems to counter advanced radars. Its main advantage is its adaptability to the rapidly changing conditions of the modern battlefield, as well as the ability to carry both conventional and nuclear munitions.

Against China's significant investment in stealth aviation, including the J-20 and J-31 aircraft, the B-21 Raider should become the US's answer in ensuring air dominance. China's strategy involves expanding air defense zones and actively using stealth technologies, which creates additional pressure on US defense policy in the Asia-Pacific region.

The first B-21 Raiders are expected to arrive in the US Air Force in 2027. The project is estimated to cost $203 billion and will involve the production of more than 100 aircraft. The bomber is already being called the “aircraft of the future” because it is capable of remaining relevant for several decades thanks to its modular design, which allows for the introduction of the latest technologies.
