The road exit x27;an ambulance injured four people on Highway 10 Sunday evening in Eastman, in Estrie. Among the injured, a nurse who was on board the vehicle is in critical condition, confirms the Sûreté du Québec (SQ).

A patient also suffered serious injuries, but her life is not believed to be in danger. Two paramedics suffered “average” injuries, according to the SQ.

Police officers received a call around 5:45 p.m. for a road trip on Highway 10 in the Eastman area. The ambulance was on an emergency trip to the east, confirms SQ spokesperson Camille Savoie.

According to the SQ, weather conditions could have contributed to the accident. The vehicle hit a rock wall and overturned after losing control.

Reconstructionist agents were sent to the site to better understand the circumstances of the accident.

Highway 10 was closed from kilometer 100 to kilometer 106 until around midnight.
