Ukrainian singers Jerry Heil and Julia Sanina presented the joint track “Wabi-sabi”. The network has already managed to appreciate the incredible sound.

The idea of a duet between two artists was born a year ago. You can watch the clip for the track “Wabi-sabi” on YouTube.

It took the performers only an hour and a half to create and record the song. As Yulia Sanina notes, it was a very interesting experience for her to write a work with another author.

I really like Yana's vision and handwriting, plus she feels great as a sound producer – apart from the song itself, she also feels the arrangement, she said.

It all started during a conversation in a tea room, when Jerry Heil learned about a Japanese saying wabi-sabi This is a philosophy that teaches to be satisfied with small things and explains: nothing is eternal, but nothing disappears.

The singer began to research this topic and came across the term kintsugi. This is a traditional Japanese method of restoring porcelain products. Broken fragments are glued together with varnish containing gold. Thus, the restored product gets a second life and becomes even more beautiful and valuable.

Today, you cannot find a single Ukrainian who is not traumatized either mentally or physically. This is a new reality that must be accepted. And in this new reality, new understandings of the beautiful appear, – noted the performer.

Yulia Sanina adds that we collect ourselves like a broken vase, become stronger, more beautiful and learn to love ourselves as we are. According to her, this is an art that we are all learning now as a society. Because we will no longer be the same.

Director Yura Katynskyi and his creative team together with female artists combined the aesthetic minimalism of WABI-SABI in this video work. This was aptly embodied by a graduate of the Superhumans center, Yulia Grigorieva, who also starred in the clip and is the personification of this new reality, new beauty, strength of spirit and body.
