The Pentagon will allocate almost 1.2 billion dollars. for the production of AMRAAM missiles. Ukraine will also receive them. This was reported by the US Ministry of Defense, FREEDOM informs.

The contract provides for the production of ammunition, a telemetry system and spare parts.

“Work will be performed in Tucson, Arizona and is expected to be completed by December 31, 2028. This contract covers foreign military sales to Bahrain, Bulgaria, Canada, Finland, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Japan, Norway, Switzerland, Ukraine and the United Kingdom”, — it is stated in the message of the Pentagon.

It should be noted that AMRAAM — it is a guided missile of the “air-to-air” medium range. It is the main armament of F-16 fighters. These missiles are also used by the American NASAMS air defense systems.
