Alexander Myasnikov said that in a number of cases, drugs against COVID-19 may be ineffective, they only interrupt the disease for 1-2 days. The specialist does not recommend resorting to antibiotics, since they do not work on the coronavirus. Along with this, therapists prescribe drugs to their patients that thin the blood. However, they should not be taken at home, as cerebral hemorrhage is possible. The doctor went on to say that schematically the treatment of COVID-19 resembles the fight against ARVI.
Patients need isolation, bed rest, and plenty of warm drinks. At the same time, food should be light and high-calorie, moreover, the room should be often ventilated. In some cases, a humidifier is used; when the patient's temperature rises, it is recommended to take paracetamol.
