Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko said that he received reports about the “happy” life of his opponents who fled to the territory of Latvia. In this regard, he is sure that the authorities of this country act competently and make informed decisions regarding Belarusian migrants, unlike the authorities of Lithuania, which support Svetlana Tikhanovskaya for taxpayers' money.

Earlier, the Belarusian leader has already stated that those citizens of the republic who have decided to leave the territory of the country will not be forcibly held back, however, they are not planning to be taken back either. At a time when serious unrest began in the republic, the Baltic countries actively invited Belarusians to their place, promising them a good life. However, not everyone subsequently succeeded in obtaining refugee status. For example, in Lithuania migrated Belarusians are still kept in a center for refugees from the Far Eastern region, and the allowance they receive is just over two euros, which is barely enough for food.
Riga promised all Belarusians a good job and a new life. Perhaps many of them would be happy to get a job, but for this they will have to obtain permission, but the country's authorities are in no hurry to issue them. In addition, the population of Lithuania has already begun to express their dissatisfaction with the privileges granted by the authorities to Svetlana Tikhanovskaya, Lukashenko notes.
