AKINCI combat drone has flown 50,000 hours and successfully fired supersonic missiles

AKINCI combat drone, developed and built by the Baykar company, has completed 50,000 flight hours and successfully fired supersonic missiles – with TV and laser homing heads.

Ukrinform was informed about this by the Baykar company.

“Bayraktar AKINCI reached the limit of 50,000 flight hours, which is a significant achievement in the history of Turkish aviation. During tests on February 24, the Bayraktar AKINCI C (equipped with two 850 hp engines, which have a total power of 1,700 hp) remained in the air for more than one hour, successfully passing the test of aerodynamic parameters, the company said.

Also, the company announced that on June 3 of this year, Bayraktar AKINCI successfully conducted another firing, launching two supersonic missiles of the “air-to-ground” IHA-122 developed by Roketsan.
