Between two seasons of Monsters, Netflix has just announced that the famous Zodiac Killer would also be at the center of a documentary series entitled This is the Zodiac Speaking. The Zodiac Killer has become a fascination for fans of serial killers and sordid crimes. An almost mythological figure of the genre, the identity of the Zodiac Killer has never been determined.The Zodiac Killer was active in California from the early 1960s to the late 1970s. More than a decade of murder, fear and paranoia surround this cold case. While the American police have confirmed 5 of his murders, he could be the author of around forty assassinations.

The Zodiac Killer always had the same modus operandi. He generally targeted couples in isolated places, whom he usually killed with a bladed weapon. But the Zodiac Killer's particularity was that he then amused himself by sending letters to the police and the media to taunt them. Some of these letters contained cryptogramssome of which have never been deciphered. And the scariest thing about it is that the most recent letter from the Zodiac Killer is from 2020. Several suspects have been approached, but without charge. The best known was Arthur Leigh Allen. The latter has been mentioned several times by witnesses, but no direct evidence has ever incriminated him. He died in 1992.

Netflix wants to exploit the crazy story of the Zodiac killer in a documentary series.
