The project is planned to be completed in the coming years. In the course of the testing carried out, the unit of microlasers rose into the stratosphere, reaching a height of several tens of kilometers. This made it possible to confirm the predicted power level coming from the light source actually in space conditions, and other calculations. The developer said that the glow of this block in the night sky can be compared with the light emanating from Venus. In other words, it will turn out to be brighter than any other object in the Universe except for the Earth's satellite – the Moon. At the same time, the developers assured that the light from the lasers would not create inconvenience in the work of astronomers, since the installation would turn on only during a flight over megacities.
Avant Space predicts that the advertising images, which will appear in the night sky, will reach an audience of approximately 1 billion people. This laser unit will not create interference and will be visible even over large cities with a high level of light pollution. It is noteworthy that advertising using this laser unit will be cheaper than on television and billboards. It is planned to launch Avant Space satellites into orbit within 2 years.
