The gumarelo received Atlético Nacional who had just eliminated Guaraní in the Libertadores. Daniel Garnero’s team entered with the idea of winning and then went to find qualification in Medellín.
The Argentine coach surprised with the line-up, leaving Oscar Cardozo on the bench and putting Adrián Martínez to play with Ferreira in the offensive zone. The game was cut a few minutes when at 7 minutes the power went out, but it was solved quickly.
At 9 minutes, the one who had the first chance was Libertad with an entry by Martínez on the left, the Argentine placed the ball and when a defender was about to enter he served on the line with the shout of the Liberteños who said that the ball crossed the line the Gol.
It was very difficult for Libertad Lee to have the ball, he could not recover immediately when the ball reached the feet of the Colombians who were triangulating in good form, although he could not reach Silva with much risk. He had a shot from Barrera that came to pass in front of the goal and went outside.
At 32 minutes, a clear play for Libertad came back in a long ball that reached Ferreira, the forward waited a long time and when a defender finished off he was able to take out, from the rebound the ball reached Iván Franco who had the goal at his disposal, but it finished outside.
The Gumarelos improved in the second stage, but it was the Colombians who had the first clear arrival through Andrade who threw the ball out from a good position.
There Garnero’s team woke up and began to have a little more the ball and was more dangerous with the entry of Oscar Cardozo since he had one more reference in the attack.
They were minutes in which the Paraguayans went to look for the advantage in the Colombian goal. Iván Franco, Ferreira and even Cardozo himself had opportunities that they could not take advantage of. Libertad’s full-backs were engaged in attack, but he could not neglect the Colombian players.
This is how Martín Silva had to appear in a great header from Jonathan Alvez. The Uruguayan dressed as a hero to save his bow and keep the zero. Until Cardozo had a free kick that was more for a right, the forward moved the ball for Bocanegra who finished off in a great way, the goalkeeper gave the rebound and Báez appeared to score the advantage for the Gumarelos.
Atlético Nacional came out desperately to seek equality, but could not, what’s more, it was Libertad who had the great opportunity in the final minutes with an entry from Cardozo that covered the goalkeeper. The gumarelo will go to Colombia with the advantage of one goal to seek entry to the group stage of the Libertadores.
