Rep. Adam Kinzinger, a Republican member of the House of Representatives, accused those members of the Republican Party of “hypocrisy” who justify the way former President Donald Trump handled classified documents.
Recall that Kinzinger was one of two Republicans who joined to a Congressional investigation into the attack by Donald Trump supporters on the Capitol.
“I am amazed at the hypocrisy of my party members who have been chanting ‘sit her down’ for years. against Hillary Clinton due to some deleted email or, as they said, deletion of information from the server, and who are now protecting a person who clearly did not take US national security seriously, ”Kinzinger told NBC.
On Friday, the Justice Department released an affidavit ordering an Aug. 8 FBI search of Trump's Florida estate. The affidavit stated that law enforcement was investigating possible criminal activity, including obstruction of justice, after classified documents were found at the Trump residence.

Trump regularly led political rallies at which his supporters chanted “Put her in (behind bars).
Kinzinger and Rep. Liz Cheney are two Republicans on the nine-member House Select Committee that is investigating the January 6, 2021 Capitol attack and Trump's activities that day. .
Kinzinger, who has decided not to seek re-election to Congress, said that either an upcoming hearing or an official committee report would reveal “in more detail” Trump's behavior during the riots. He added: “One of the most intriguing moments will be the fundraiser… the vast majority of this money was raised under the slogan 'stop stealing (elections)'” with no intention of doing anything to stop the so-called theft.”
