A young man who set fire to Ukrzaliznytsia relay cabinets will be tried in the Kharkiv region

Under the procedural guidance of the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor's Office and the Lozov District Prosecutor's Office of the Kharkiv Region, a pre-trial investigation into the young man on the facts of sabotage and attempted sabotage has been completed.

The accused is a resident of the village of Blyznyuky, who studies at a local lyceum.

According to the investigation, through the messenger «Telegram» The young man, who was 17 years old at the time, was approached by a man who offered to earn some extra money. The «employer» set the task — to set fire to Ukrzaliznytsia relay cabinets in the Lozovsky district for a monetary reward.

The curator instructed the accused exactly how to act. One of the conditions for cooperation was the mandatory sending of a photo that the cabinet was really destroyed. In mid-August of this year, the young man managed to set fire to several relay cabinets, but during the next «work shift» the arsonist was detained by law enforcement officers. It has been previously established that the young man was recruited by the Russian special services to destabilize the situation in the region.

The young man is awaiting trial in custody. He will be tried in the Lozovsky City District Court of the Kharkiv region. The accused faces life imprisonment.
