A woman dies during an exit from the road in Val-des-Monts

A 33-year-old driver lost her life when she left the road at the intersection of Route du Carrefour and Montée Paiement in Val-des-Monts on Tuesday evening.

The police service of the MRC des Collines-de-l'Outaouais responded to a call on this subject around 11:30 p.m. on Tuesday and reported that the driver's vehicle had rolled over and [that] a person was still on board, unconscious.

The latter was pronounced dead at the scene. Val-des-Monts firefighters helped to extricate the driver from her vehicle, write the police officers of the MRC des Collines-de-l'Outaouais in a press release released Wednesday morning.

A passenger, a 14-year-old boy, authorities said, was also in the vehicle. The latter suffered only slight injuries and was transported to a hospital center.
