Some iPhone 18 models may turn out to be the most productive smartphones of their time.
Next year, the entire iPhone 17 series will be equipped with processors made of using the improved N3P technology from TSMC using the 3-nm process. But some iPhone 18 models, the release of which is expected in 2026, will work on even more productive 2-nm chips. This was reported by the well-known analyst Ming-Chi Kuo.

As these numbers decrease, the size of transistors decreases, which makes it possible to pack more of them on one crystal. This, in turn, leads to increased data processing speed and improved energy efficiency.
Last year, Apple introduced 3-nanometer chips for its iPhones and Macs. As for the 2-nanometer ones, Taiwan's TSMC plans to start their production at the end of 2025. The company is already building two factories for these needs and investing billions of dollars in technology. Cupertino residents are expected to be the first to receive them.
