Startup from South Korea has developed an innovative battery that turns light into electricity

The South Korean company DEOGAM has taken a significant step in the field of sustainable energy and presented a revolutionary battery that can change the perception of energy generation. The company's latest technology uses a process of harvesting energy from the environment and converting it into electricity, allowing devices to self-generate power from sources such as light, heat or motion.

The basis of the DEOGAM battery is an electricity recycling system, which with the help of photovoltaic cells, thermoelectric generators and piezoelectric components captures energy from the surrounding environment.

The technology is already being tested on&nbsp ;500 Hyundai Ioniq 5 taxis in Jeju Island, South Korea. If the tests are successful, the company plans to implement its development in electric cars on the EU market next year.

DEOGAM technology has the potential to revolutionize not only electric cars, but also wearable gadgets, smartphones and Internet devices. of things (IoT). For example, smart watches and fitness trackers will be able to generate energy from body heat and movement, and smartphone screens — work as solar panels, extending battery life throughout the day.

The company has successfully demonstrated its prototypes and is now focused on scaling production and establishing cooperation with device manufacturers. In plans — to integrate its batteries into consumer products within the next two years.
