A ship from Liberia with Ukrainian grain ran aground in the Bosphorus

The vessel Lady Zehma from Liberia, carrying Ukrainian grain, ran aground in the Bosphorus Strait. This was reported by the Office of the Governor of Istanbul.

At the bulk carrier Lady Zehma , 173 meters long, refused to rudder in the Bosphorus on the way from Odessa ports to Istanbul. The ship ran aground on September 1 at about 21:00 and anchored in Bebek Bay. The ship is carrying 3,000 tons of Ukrainian corn to Liberia.

Istanbul Coast Guard and Security ships, rescue tugs and boats arrived at the scene.

People were not injured, there was no environmental pollution, but traffic along the Bosphorus was temporarily stopped.
