A resident of the Carpathians tried to illegally smuggle Apple equipment worth UAH 800,000 into Ukraine

In Shegyny, customs officers stopped a minibus «filled» with Apple worth 800 thousand hryvnias.

At the «Shegyny-Medica» checkpoint, along the «green corridor» lane arrived from Poland in a «Mercedes Benz», driven by a 32-year-old resident of Prykarpattia, writes the City Hall with reference to the Lviv Customs.

During the inspection of the vehicle, customs officers found 24 Apple gadgets in the car interior: 12 MacBooks, 8 iPads, 3 pairs of wireless headphones and a set-top box.

A report has been drawn up on this fact, in accordance with Part 2 of Art.471 (Failure to declare goods moving across the customs border by citizens) of the MCU.

The approximate cost of the goods – over 800 thousand hryvnias.
