A man who lives in the city of Biysk, located in the Altai Territory, recently went to the forest to collect mushrooms. As it turned out later, the trip out of town was more productive than he had hoped. Walking through the more often, the mushroom picker came across a strange stone, similar to a piece of iron, which he decided to take with him. Having studied it at home, he realized that he stood out against the background of other boulders, and decided to transfer it to scientists. They studied the find by measuring its parameters. It has a high density of 5.3 g / cv3 and weighs up to 530 grams. At the moment, a fragment of the meteorite is in the laboratory, where it is being examined. According to preliminary assumptions, its age may be several thousand years older than Earth.
Anatoly Gusev, Ph.D., noted that it is not yet possible to say for sure whether the object is a fragment of a meteorite, but the probability of this is very high. Scientists will be able to declare this for sure only after performing an incision with resurfacing.
