A reading hall dedicated to the memory of the Ukrainian writer Victoria Amelina was opened in Milan. She died as a result of a Russian missile attack on the city of Kramatorsk.

This became possible thanks to the initiative of the editor-in-chief of the Italian publication Linkiesta, Christian Rocca. According to a message from the Ukrainian PEN Club on Facebook, this initiative celebrates Victoria's dedication to the mission of conveying true information through her texts.

The reading room, located in the Gallaratese library, has become a place where anyone willing can find knowledge and gain access to quality Ukrainian texts and materials about Ukraine.

This newspaper treated Victoria's mission with responsibility and sincerity, which she carried in her texts and in practice. The Gallaratese library is a crowded public space where all those who seek additional knowledge find their place. A high-quality selection of Ukrainian texts and texts about Ukraine is kept on the bookshelves,
– it is noted in the message of the PEN-club.
