A programmer from Kyiv who was planning to escape to Romania was caught in Frankiv Oblast

On November 21, the Verkhovyna District Court of Ivano-Frankivsk region considered the case of a programmer from Kyiv from the company Hire Labs Salidity Developes, who, according to the border guards' protocol, tried to illegally cross the border and flee the country (according to the protocol).

On August 23, according to the case materials, the man attempted to illegally cross the state border of Ukraine outside the checkpoints at a distance of 20 km from the state border line.

The programmer did not appear at the court hearing, and did not report the reasons for his non-appearance in court. However, in the written explanatory statement, the programmer stated that he had arrived in the controlled border area with the aim of crossing the state border into Romania.

The court found the man guilty of committing an administrative offense, i.e. attempting to illegally cross the border, and imposed a fine of UAH 3,400 on him.

He must also pay a court fee of UAH 605.60.

The ruling can be appealed within ten days from the date of its submission to the Ivano-Frankivsk Court of Appeal by filing an appeal through the Verkhovyna District Court of Ivano-Frankivsk Region.
