A Norwegian company has launched a new plant for the production of anti-ship missiles

Four, 20 chernya, Norwegian Kongsberg Defense & Aerospace, a subsidiary of the defense industry Kongsberg Gruppen, opened a new plant for the production of anti-ship missiles. This was reported by the company's press service.

The distribution plant at Kongsberzi, where the company's headquarters is located, 90 km from Oslo. Present at the ceremony were the Minister of Trade and Industry of Norway Cecilia Murseth, the Deputy Minister of Defense Hanni Maria Onnerud and representatives of the replacement powers of Kongsberg products.

About the plan and the development of the new plant voted in 2021 the growth rate will be increased by armored on the side of the trailing edges. Zokrema, the US Navy is purchasing NSM anti-ship missiles from Kongsberg with a range of 250 km. These missiles are in production in 14 countries around the world, including 11 NATO members.

In conjunction with this type of missiles, the aircraft version of the JSM with a range of 280 km will be produced at the Kongsberza plant armored vehicle F-35 production company Lockheed Martin.

According to Kongsberg representatives, the new plant produces “a hundred missiles per river.” The plant, which employs 1,200 people, cost the company $61 million.
