Recovered from COVID-19, Artur Beterbiev will be able to resume his preparation for the defense of his title against Adam Deines. The fight has been moved to March 20.
According to what the WBC reported on Thursday, the unified WBC and IBF light heavyweight champion will most likely fight in Russia. Confirmation is still awaited on this subject.
Beterbiev’s last fight (15-0, 15 KOs) dates back to October 2019, when he defeated the Ukrainian Oleksander Gvozdyk.
Initially scheduled for October 2020, the duel between Beterbiev and Deines (19-1-1, 10 KOs) was postponed for the first time when the boxer from Chechnya injured himself alongside.
The fight had been moved to January 30 before Beterbiev contracted COVID-19, forcing a further postponement.
