A minimalist smartphone with an E Ink screen and no social networks is unveiled

Startup LoFone has unveiled a minimalist smartphone of the same name.

It has a removable battery and an E Ink Kaleido 3 screen capable of displaying 16 shades of gray and 4096 colors, but it does not have a browser or social networking applications.

According to the manufacturer, the novelty is an antidote to smartphone addiction.

LoFone has a transparent body and interchangeable parts that are held on the cogs. The smartphone has two cameras, but you can shoot with them only blindly — the image is not displayed on the screen in real time.

The device uses its own operating system, on which you can install a limited set of applications, for example, some messengers and music services. There are also built-in apps with maps.

Among other features — contactless payment via NFC and the ability to use a smartphone as a Wi-Fi access point. On the left, the novelty has a special button to which you can bind various actions. The headphones are connected via a 3.5 mm jack.

The release date and price of the LoFone are still kept secret. On the official website, you can subscribe to the newsletter to keep up to date with news.
