(Lake Buena Vista) A masterful score of 60 approached Jessica Korda within two shots of the header occupied by Danielle Kang, at the Diamond Resorts Tournament of Champions.
The score of 60 has only been achieved five times on the LPGA, most recently in 2008.
Korda enjoyed a stunning second nine with seven birdies and an eagle, adding to his two first nine birdies.
The eagle was brought to life by an 18-foot roll, at 17e hole.
“I didn’t really realize it until I got that putt,” Korda said of her day. There I was like “Oh, ok. Not bad.” A round like this is rare, so you have to really appreciate it. ”
His younger sister Nelly is four shots behind, after a 67.
Kang played 63 and increased his cumulative to 192 minus 21.
She dodged the boguey and earned eight birdies, tying the best score of her career.
In Gee Chun (67) is at minus 13, a stroke better than Canada’s Brooke Henderson (65).
The Ontarian registered seven birdies and committed a bug.
