A man was detained in the Kyiv region for setting fire to relay cabinets on the instructions of Russian special services

Law enforcement officers of the Kyiv region have exposed a 29-year-old resident of Boryspil, who, on the instructions of the Russian special services, twice set fire to relay cabinets on railway tracks

This is reported by the information portal “My Kyiv Region” with a reference to the press service of the Kyiv Region Police.

During November, a man, acting on the instructions of the enemy via Telegram, twice set fire to relay cabinets on railway tracks tracks.

The attacker recorded the results of his “work” on camera and sent them to the customer in exchange for a cash reward. He planned to use the money to pay off his debt for losses in online betting.

During searches in his house, two hand grenades were found. The man was detained under Art. 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine and placed in a temporary detention center.

Investigators, under the procedural guidance of the Boryspil District Prosecutor's Office, informed the defendant of suspicion of sabotage committed under martial law, as well as illegal storage of explosive materials (Part 2 of Article 113, Part 1 of Article 263 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). The perpetrator faces life imprisonment.

Currently, the court has chosen a preventive measure for the perpetrator in the form of detention for a period of 60 days.
