A man was found stabbed at the corner of Sainte-Catherine and Saint-André streets, in Montreal, late Tuesday afternoon.

Several calls reporting an armed attack were received at 911 around 5:50 p.m., indicates the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM).

The victim, a 27-year-old man, was reportedly stabbed during an altercation. He was seriously injured, but his life is not in danger, said Véronique Dubuc, spokesperson for the SPVM.
