A man reported on the Telegram messenger about the distribution of summonses to the CCC - what is the court's verdict?

A man was tried in Poltava who reported on the Telegram channel about the whereabouts of representatives of the CCC and the SP. In this way, he helped evaders avoid serving summonses and mobilization.

Case details

How found out during the investigation, the man wrote messages in the Telegram channel. There, men who tried to avoid mobilization were informed about the places where summonses were distributed.

The accused wrote at least three messages in the channel. He reported on the location of the notification groups of the CCK and the SP. By doing so, the man obstructed the lawful activities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other military formations during martial law.

Court verdict

A resident of Poltava region fully admitted his guilt and entered into a plea agreement with the prosecutor of the Poltava Regional Prosecutor's Office. The court decided to sentence him to five years in prison with exemption from serving a sentence with a probation period of 1 year. In addition, the man's Samsung Galaxy M13 phone, from which he wrote messages in the Telegram channel chat, was confiscated in favor of the state.
