The Xpeng Land Aircraft Carrier complex consists of an electric carrier van and an unmanned flying car. Production of the “land aircraft carrier” is planned to begin in 2026.

Xpeng presented a modular flying car in China. In November, it will make its first flight, after which pre-sales of the complex will begin at a price of about 2 million yuan ($280,000). This is reported by the CarNewsChina site.

Xpeng calls its project a Land Aircraft Carrier. It consists of the flying car itself and a carrier that can transport it.

This carrier is a three-axle van 5.5 m long and 2 m wide. Its chopped design somewhat resembles a Tesla Cybertruck pickup.

The Xpeng flying car is transported in the trunk of a van, and there is also a five-seater interior. The car is equipped with electric motors, an 800-volt battery and a gasoline generator. The total range on gasoline and electric traction reaches 1,000 km, and charging the battery to 80% takes 18 minutes.

The characteristics of the Xpeng flying car itself are still kept secret. It is only known that it is an unmanned two-seater quadcopter with vertical takeoff and landing.

The new Xpeng Land Aircraft Carrier is planned to go into production from 2026. They are going to produce 10,000 such “land aircraft carriers” each year.
